100Cr6 steel in hot-rolled round bars, spheroidize annealed, represents the optimal choice for the production of bearing components. The high carbon and chromium content ensures excellent hardness and wear resistance after heat treatment.
This material is ideally suited for the manufacture of bearing rings, balls, rollers and components subject to high surface pressures. The spheroidized structure ensures excellent machinability prior to final heat treatment.
Supply in the spheroidize annealed condition ensures a controlled hardness of 170-210 HB, allowing excellent machining prior to final quenching, which can achieve hardness levels exceeding 62 HRC.
