The ferritic-pearlitic structure obtained through the annealing process ensures controlled hardness, facilitating subsequent machining. After case hardening treatment, the surface reaches a high hardness while the core maintains excellent toughness.
The material is particularly suitable for the production of universal joints, shafts and precision automotive components. Its resistance to corrosion and wear also makes it suitable for applications in demanding industrial environments.
