16MnCr5 steel in forged execution is optimal for large components requiring high mechanical strength. The forging process improves the internal structure of the material, ensuring superior performance in critical applications.
Hot machinability is excellent within the range 900-1150°C. After forging, the material must be cooled slowly to avoid the formation of flakes, especially within the range between 450°C and 250°C.
This type of execution is particularly suitable for the production of large structural components in heavy mechanical engineering, such as transmission shafts and thick-section gears. The combination of mechanical strength and toughness makes it ideal for applications subjected to high dynamic loads.
