20MnCr5 steel in forged execution is particularly suitable for large-sized components requiring high mechanical properties. The forging process improves the internal structure of the material, eliminating any segregation defects and ensuring uniform mechanical properties.
The optimal forging temperature, between 850°C and 1150°C, ensures perfect plastic deformation of the material. The structure resulting from controlled cooling shows a fine, homogeneous grain, ideal for subsequent machining.
