20MnCr5 steel in hot-rolled round bars stands out for its higher carbon content compared to 16MnCr5, offering superior mechanical strength after heat treatment. The structure obtained from hot rolling ensures excellent basic mechanical properties.
This steel is optimally used in the production of medium and large-sized components such as gears, ring gears and transmission shafts. Its superior hardenability makes it particularly suitable for parts with greater thicknesses.
Supply in the annealed condition ensures good machinability on machine tools, allowing complex geometries to be produced while maintaining excellent dimensional accuracy. The material responds excellently to heat treatment, achieving high surface hardness.
