31CrMoV10 steel in hot-rolled round bars, quenched, tempered and stress-relieved, represents an excellent solution for components requiring high wear resistance. The presence of vanadium, combined with chromium and molybdenum, ensures superior mechanical properties.
This material is particularly suitable for manufacturing components subject to severe operating conditions such as plastic moulds, gears and mechanical parts subject to heavy wear. Stress relieving ensures maximum dimensional accuracy during nitriding.
The structure obtained after quenching, tempering and stress relieving ensures an excellent combination of surface hardness and core toughness, key characteristics for critical mechanical applications.
