34CrAlNi7 steel in forged execution, quenched and tempered and stress-relieved, is optimal for large components requiring high surface hardness. The forging process improves the internal structure, while stress relieving ensures dimensional accuracy.
Particularly suitable for the manufacture of large moulds, gears for industrial gearboxes and components subject to severe wear conditions. The presence of nickel improves core toughness after heat treatments.
The combination of forging, quenching and tempering and stress relieving ensures optimal mechanical properties and a uniform response to the nitriding process even on large sections.
