The C45 as-rolled hot-rolled plate block represents an excellent solution for the mechanical engineering and metal fabrication industries, offering the superior characteristics of one of the most widely used quenched and tempered steels in Europe.
This product, with a chemical composition featuring carbon content between 0.42% and 0.50%, ensures an optimal combination of hardness and toughness, making it ideal for the manufacture of resistant mechanical components such as shafts, pins, gears and structural supports.
Supplied in the as-rolled condition, the block retains the original properties of the material with a Brinell hardness between 175 and 230 HB, offering excellent machinability and the possibility of subsequent quenching and tempering heat treatments for applications requiring even higher mechanical performance.
