1. 39NiCrMo3 steel supply
Siderticino supplies 39NiCrMo3 steel (material number 1.6510), a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy quenched and tempered steel used for mechanical components subject to fatigue and torsional stress – shafts, gears, pins, connecting rods and transmission components.
The range includes semi-finished products in bar and plate form in the main production executions, with cutting to size, subcontracted heat treatment and certification on request. 2. Available formats and executions
39NiCrMo3 is available as bar and as plate block, in various sections and executions. The following items correspond to the filters in the product list, where each item links to its detail page and quote request.
2.1. Bars: rounds, squares and flats
39NiCrMo3 bars are supplied in rounds, squares and flats. Rounds cover the full range of executions (open-die forged, hot-rolled, cold-drawn, peeled, ground), while squares and flats are typically in hot-rolled execution. These are the formats of choice for the production of shafts, pins, tie rods and mechanical components to be machined on machine tools.
2.2. Plates and blocks
For applications requiring a flat starting stock, plate blocks in 39NiCrMo3 are available in hot-rolled execution, suitable for cutting plates, dies and mechanical bases. Shaping and cutting to the required size can be agreed upon at the time of order.
2.3. Executions and surface finishes
The available executions meet different tolerance and finish requirements: open-die forged and hot-rolled for semi-finished products to be machined, cold-drawn and peeled for tighter dimensional tolerances and clean surfaces, ground for rounds requiring maximum dimensional precision and surface finish. The choice of execution affects downstream machining and should be assessed based on the final component.
3. 39NiCrMo3 delivery conditions
39NiCrMo3 is mainly supplied in the quenched and tempered (+QT) condition, ready for use in components requiring in-service mechanical properties. Other delivery conditions can also be handled – including normalized, annealed and quenched, tempered and stress-relieved – depending on the machinability or dimensional stability required.

4. Machining and certification services
In addition to material supply, Siderticino offers services on 39NiCrMo3 that reduce incoming machining and ensure batch traceability.
4.1. Cutting to size

4.2. Subcontracted quenching and tempering / heat treatment
39NiCrMo3 can be supplied already quenched and tempered in the required mechanical condition, or the heat treatment can be subcontracted on the ordered material. This allows the customer to receive the semi-finished product ready for machining or use, without having to organize the treatment phase separately.
4.3. EN 10204 3.1 certification
Every supply is accompanied by a 2.1 inspection certificate and, on request, by a 3.1 certificate according to EN 10204, with traceability of the batch’s chemical composition and mechanical characteristics. The 3.1 is the document required for orders where full material traceability is necessary.
