C45 steel in hot-rolled round bars, as-rolled (untreated), represents one of the most versatile and cost-effective solutions for general mechanical applications. The medium carbon content gives the material a good compromise between mechanical strength and machinability.
This material is ideally suited for the manufacture of mechanical components such as shafts, pins, connecting rods and parts subject to medium stresses. The as-rolled (untreated) delivery condition allows subsequent heat treatments best suited to the specific application to be carried out.
The structure obtained through hot-rolling ensures uniform mechanical properties and good machinability on machine tools, making it particularly suitable for the production of general-purpose mechanical components.
